ADHD Assessment Service
Our ADHD psychology assessment service is designed to help individuals who suspect they may have ADHD. Psychology in the Park will conduct a thorough assessment to determine if ADHD is present and provide an outcome letter with recommendations for treatment and management. Session 1: Initial consultation

Session 2: Assessment consultation

Session 3: Further assessment and outcome discussion
Sessions are conducted in-person at our Berwick clinic, Narre Warren Clinic or via telehealth.
ADHD Assessment costs $350 for each session including testing materials, assessment scoring, interpretation, outcome letter writing and time with a psychologist. The total cost of the ADHD assessment is $1,050.

What are the consultation fees?Psychologist Business Hours Appointments 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM $230 per session ($250 with Psychology Director Dr. Louise Steel) Psychologist After Hours Appointments before 9:00 AM or after 5:00 PM $250 per session Provisional Psychology Appointments $150 per session Counselling Appointments $120 per session (Individuals) $150 per session (Couples) Report Writing & Letters $250 per hour NDIS Sessions As per NDIS guidelines Prices are excluding any applicable taxes.

What age groups do you provide psychological and counselling services to?Psychology in the Park practitioners work with with adults and adolescents aged 13 years and above.

Do you accept WorkCover, DVA or TAC patients?Psychology in the Park does not currently take on WorkCover, DVA or TAC patients.

Do you offer Telehealth consultations?Yes, Psychology in the Park offers consultations via video conferencing. A telehealth service is a psychological therapy service that is delivered via video conference where both a visual and audio link has been established between a patient and their treating allied health professional.

How long do appointments usually go for?Appointments are approximately 50 minutes in duration.

Do I need a referral or can I just book an appointment?If clients wish to obtain rebates for their sessions we do not book an appointment until you have obtained a referral and mental health care plan from your GP or medical specialist. This ensures rebates can be claimed from medicare successfully. Clients can choose to book an appointment without any referral paperwork and pay the full fees themselves.

Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate on your services?Your GP or medical specialist will determine if your treatment is eligible for Medicare rebates. Please bring any referral paperwork to your initial session. Patients with a GP referral / Mental Healthcare Plan can receive a rebate of $96.65 for up to 10 sessions per year with a Psychologist. Note, rebates are not available for Counselling or Provisional Psychologist appointments and these have a reduced rate to allow for this.

Do you offer bulk billing services under a Mental Health Care Plan?At this time no bulk billing services are offered. Patients with a GP referral / Mental Healthcare Plan can receive a rebate of $96.65 for up to 10 sessions per year with a Psychologist. Note, rebates are not available for Counselling or Provisional Psychologist appointments and these have a reduced rate to allow for this.

Do you offer a concession rate for health card holders?Unfortunately at this time Psychology in the Park does not offer concession rates for health card holders.

What if I require a report or letter be prepared?Reports or letters can be prepared and fees are $250 per hour. Please discuss requirements as part of your consultation.

How do I claim the Medicare rebate?Tax receipts will be provided for each session which can be claimed via the Medicare claims process.

What is your cancellation policy?Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will not incur any fee. If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact us as soon as possible. Non-attendance or cancellation at short notice will incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees are as follows: - Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee. - Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or non-attendance of a booked appointment will incur a fee equal to 100% of the consultation fee. Cancellation fees are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

What do I need to bring to Psychology in the Park sessions?Please bring comfortable shoes and a bottle of water to your session.

How does confidentiality work in Psychology in the Park sessions?The same confidentiality rules apply during a Psychology in the Park session as in a session in a consulting room. However, there are some limitations with the session occuring in a public area which will be discussed with you prior to starting.
