Our Approach
Psychology in the Park provides services for adolescents and adults who are experiencing mental health, relationship, behavioural, and/or legal difficulties. Our clinicians possess extensive qualifications and experience.
Our team is passionate about supporting individuals to identify personal strengths which can be used to improve connection to themselves, others and the environment. Our approach is evidence-based yet responsive to the needs of the individual. We are committed to providing a safe and respectful space where individuals can explore their concerns and take steps toward recovery and personal growth. Psychological and counselling treatment often includes the identification of positive strategies which create motivation and momentum. Psychology in the Park sessions are about practicing a holistic approach to mental health, garnering momentum, and actively pursuing shifts in wellbeing.
Our team is available to liaise with workplaces, schools, other professionals and institutions.

Dr. Louise Steel
Director, Psychologist,
Board Approved Supervisor
Dr. Louise Steel is the Director of Psychology in the Park.
Dr. Louise Steel provides services for adolescents and adults who are experiencing mental health, relationship, behavioural, and/or legal difficulties. She is a registered AHPRA psychologist, approved supervisor and is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Her qualifications include a Doctorate in Psychology (Forensic). She has over 15 years experience working in both clinical and forensic settings.

Ms. Molly Brown
Provisional Psychologist
Molly is a dedicated and compassionate provisional psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) following completion of a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Masters of Professional Psychology.
She is committed to supporting individuals across various age groups, including adolescents and adults, who may be experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation, and social or interpersonal concerns.
With a client-centred approach, Molly creates a warm and safe environment where individuals feel heard, accepted, and empowered to explore their experiences. She is passionate about helping others understand that they are not alone on their journey and works collaboratively to foster growth and resilience. Molly draws on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to tailor support to each individual’s needs.

Ms. Alisha Gambhir
Psychologist
Alisha is an engaging and compassionate Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA) with six years experience in the industry. By taking an active person-centric approach, advocating for clients’ needs and tailoring therapy and intervention processes to provide bespoke solutions. Alisha enjoys taking a collaborative approach and working as part of a team to empower each client to build their capacity and work towards best outcomes.
With a Masters in Counselling and Masters in Clinical Psychology, Alisha has developed a professional career over various roles.
Alisha strives towards understanding people’s unique stories, developing a shared understanding of their difficulties and goals to go above and beyond to provide clients with solutions that meets their unique needs.
Alisha works across all age groups but specialises in working with adolescents and young adults.

Ms. Shirley Robert
Psychologist
Shirley Robert is a psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA). She has an eclectic background, with experience in private practice and community services in both local and international settings. Her diverse background enables her to connect with people from all walks of life and from various backgrounds. Shirley practices a warm and open style of working alongside clients and believes in finding each client’s unique strengths. She is passionate about creating a strong therapeutic relationship that will empower the client and allow for positive growth. Her work is influenced by various therapy styles like Cognitive behavior therapy, Mindfulness and Interpersonal Therapy.
Her areas of interest include, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, self esteem issues, substance abuse, relationship issues.

Ms. Rosanna Giosserano
Psychologist
Rosanna has completed her Master of Professional Psychology at Monash University and is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
With a warm and empathetic demeanor, Rosanna establishes a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to freely express themselves. Working with adolescents and young adults, Rosanna embraces a person-centered and collaborative approach to actively empower her clients to engage in their therapeutic journey.
With experience in community mental health, disability, and clinical research roles, Rosanna's areas of interest include general depression and anxiety, stress and burnout, self-esteem, relationship issues, grief and loss, and interpersonal difficulties. Rosanna employs various evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

Ms. Emma Beckwith
Psychologist
Emma is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
She has completed her postgraduate studies with Monash University.
Emma has experience working with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, and interpersonal difficulties in the community mental health and disability sector. She enjoys working with older adolescent and adult clients experiencing a range of emotional, social, and behavioural concerns. She adopts a warm, collaborative, and empathic approach, aiming to create a respectful environment in which meaningful change can occur.
Emma draws from multiple frameworks, depending on what is most suitable for the client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.

Ms. Lauren Tai
Provisional Psychologist
Lauren has completed her Master of Professional Psychology and is a registered Provisional Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has gained valuable experience in community mental health, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds to work through a range of personal and psychological challenges.
With a warm and empathetic nature, Lauren is deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel genuinely heard, accepted, and empowered. She believes in walking alongside her clients on their journey, fostering a sense of hope and confidence as they explore their challenges and strengths.
Lauren works with adolescents and adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and interpersonal challenges. She takes a client-centred and collaborative approach, building strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring support to each individual’s unique needs.
Drawing on evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Lauren is passionate about helping clients develop practical strategies, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. Her focus is not only on addressing immediate difficulties but also on empowering clients to feel more confident, capable, and connected in their everyday lives.
