Psychology in the Park is a nationally recognised psychology practice, offering services in Berwick, Beaconsfield and Victoria's South Eastern suburbs for mental health issues.
We offer Provisional Psychologist internships with supervision with Dr. Louise Steel for the 5+1 Internship Program.
The Provisional Psychologist Internship Program, commonly referred to as the 5+1 model, is designed provide aspiring psychologists with valuable practical experience. This program typically consists of years of academic training followed by a one-year supervised internship. Interns gain hands-on in various settings, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios while being mentored by Dr. Louise Steel. It's an essential step for those looking to become fully registered psychologists and make a positive impact in the field of health.
Psychology in the Park has worked with a number of Provisional Psychologists and supported them through to full registration as Psychologists.

Full administrative/reception support: we will manage client phone calls, intake/triage, appointment bookings/reminders, wait-lists, billing/fees, telehealth software, business cards, and marketing

Access to Cliniko practice management software

Access to Pearson and Novopsych assessment tools

Listing on Psychology in the Park website as practitioner

Flexible work arrangements: design your own working schedule

Strong links to local referral networks (e.g. GPs, schools), along with local, national referrers

Large number and variety of client referrals, including various ages (children, adolescents, adults)

Face-to-face and telehealth sessions available (we have established telehealth platforms and protocols)
